StockFlow Pro is committed to protecting your privacy. This application is designed with a privacy-first approach, ensuring that your financial data remains secure and under your control.

Local Storage

All your stock data, portfolio information, and alert settings are stored locally on your device using browser local storage. This means:

  • Your data never leaves your device
  • We don't have access to your portfolio information
  • Your tracking preferences remain private
  • Data persists between sessions but stays on your machine

Stock Data

When you add stocks to track, we fetch current market data from Yahoo Finance through our backend server. This data includes:

  • Current stock prices and changes
  • Historical price data for charts
  • Company information and market metrics
  • Volume and market capitalization data

Notifications

Price alert notifications are generated locally on your device based on the stock data fetched from Yahoo Finance. We don't track which alerts you set or when they trigger.

Third-Party Services

We use Yahoo Finance for stock data, which is subject to Yahoo's privacy policy. We don't share any personal information with Yahoo Finance or any other third parties.

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

  • Clear all data at any time using the "Clear All Data" button in settings
  • Remove individual stocks from tracking
  • Disable notifications in your browser settings
  • Clear local storage through your browser's developer tools
